Advanced Machinery Services, the Wadkin Bursgreen Trademark owner, has improved and renamed its woodworking training course section on its website to be able to offer better and more specific training courses to the woodworking industry.

The new woodworking training academy is in Leicestershire but can deliver training all over the UK. Customers can opt to have the training in their own workshop or in the academy showroom in Skeffington (Leicestershire).

The Wadkin Bursgreen Academy is the new name of the Advanced Machinery Services woodworking machinery training courses. The website has been improved to give a better customer experience, providing quick and easy access and booking. All trainers have more than 20 years’ experience in the woodworking industy, with a great deal of experience in machines and machining.

“We have been delivering training for 15 years under the name of the company, which is a service and sales company,” explains AMS’ director. “We wanted to have a special name for the learning area because one of our aims is be the leading supplier of woodworking machinery training courses to the timber industry in the UK.”

Most of the team are ex-Wadkin employees and so are specialists in planer moulders and grinders. The Wadkin Bursgreen Academy can train trainers in companies so that they can in turn teach the rest of their team. All training is accredited and a certificate is presented to the successful candidates upon completion.

“It is a pleasure to share all my knowledge in woodworking machinery with my attendees; knowledge is only powerful if you pass it on to the next generation,” says Wadkin Bursgreen Academy trainer, Simon. “For me, it’s very important that the woodworkers pass the training, but more importantly that they learn and remember what they should and shouldn’t do when they are in their workshop. Most of our team are wood machinists and we have seen too many accidents during our careers.
