What skill levels are required?

The trainer will assess the candidates’ level, but basically there are 3 levels.

• Novice: An employee with little or no experience of woodworking machinery use. See Training Course for Novice
• Intermediate: An employee who has some experience of woodworking machinery and who is not a full-time wood machinist. 
  
• Experienced: An employee who uses woodworking machinery on a regular basis. See Refresher Training Course

It is important that our trainer understands your employee’s skill levels to construct the most beneficial courses for your staff.

What qualification will I receive?

A fully accredited certificate of competence. As soon as you pass your wood machine training course, you get a legal certificate of the course. After 7-10 days, you receive a print diploma.

Will this affect my production?

Every effort is made to work around production needs but the candidate would have to concentrate on the course.

Where does this happen?

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

Regulation 9, The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations require every employer to ensure that all employees who use woodwork equipment have received suitable and sufficient training. Refresher training to be taken every 3 to 5 years to maintain personnel competency in line with current HSE guidance.
